National Nun Run

You have heard a lot of talk about it and its finally here! The National Nun Run. During the year of consecrated life, the Diocesan Vocation Director, Fr. Shaun Haggerty along with a few adult women chapherones, will be leading a trip to Nashville TN to visit the Nashville Dominican Sisters, the world renown "rock star" Benedictine Sisters of Mary, and other convents of the central states, Benedictine College, and even a little Nashville fun with the Grand Ole Opry and a river boat dinner show. This trip is filled with prayer and will certainly give greater clarity for your vocation. Many girls who have gone on past Nun Runs have commented that it was a life changing trip for them. God set them on a new path for some it has been religious life and others it got their boyfriends to finally propose.

There will be plenty of opportunity to interact with the sisters. We will be having daily holy hour with the sisters, Mass, Rosary, Liturgy of the Hours, etc. It will be intense, early mornings of prayer at 5:30 a.m. sleeping in a sleeping bag mostly likely on a floor, but there will be plenty of fun and smiles with the sisters in the evenings.
